I found the hotel to be conveniently located near the airport, which was great for my early morning flight. While the service was friendly, there were some delays with the shuttle pick-up. The dining options were limited, and the prices seemed high for what was offered. The cleanliness of the rooms left something to be desired, with visible hair in the bathroom, but the location close to everything I needed was a plus.
Upon arrival, I noticed that the hotel had both positive and negative aspects. Although my room smelt like old cigarette smoke and felt damp, it was surprisingly quiet and in good shape, a contrast to the filthiness and terrible smell that didn't meet Marriott standards. The service was notably excellent, especially George, the Courtesy Transfer Coach driver, who was attentive and very nice. The location, ideal for early flights from JFK, had decent food choices at reasonable prices but lacked clarity on breakfast arrangements. The dining experience was basic with limited Kellogg's cereal choices, although the staff compensating my wife's breakfast was a thoughtful touch.
I had a fantastic stay at the hotel! The rooms were awesome and comfortable with a nice view, and the free and effective wifi made my experience even better. However, the service was a bit unmotivated and borderline unprofessional at times. The location was perfect for my needs, being close to the airport with free shuttle service, but it wasn't great for other activities. The dining options were good value for money, and the facilities were top-notch.
